Yesterday at 1pm and again at 7pm the only women’s clinic in eastern Aleppo was savagely attacked in a similar fashion as the other hospitals in the besieged territories have been lately. It was hit by both mortar fire and a multiple barrel bomb attack. The resulting explosions totally devastated the entire neighborhood.
Clinic director Abu Motassem said: “Grad rockets hit the building. Then as we were attempting to clean up the rubble so we could resume our work we were surprised a second time by a barrel bomb.”
It appears that pregnant women in eastern Aleppo no longer have a clear medical solution to complications they may be experiencing during childbirth. It is unclear where those women in need of cesarian operations will go for their procedures.
